Waste not, want not started as a five-day food festival in 2016 on both Concordia campuses which were attended by 1,500 people per day. Following that the group signed a three-year contract with the Concordia Student Union and Sustainable Concordia to provide our education services to the Concordia student community. In 2019 Concordia University agreed to provide $15K for one year to pay #CUcompost Waste Ambassadors to go to on-campus events and help participants learn how to sort their waste. In 2020 the group incorporated a new bcorp called enuf to replicate the work done Concordia University in other places. They currently offer waste audits, composting education and Green Brigades (Team member stands next to waste stations and help event attendees learn how to sort their waste and collect untouched surplus food and redirect them to enuf’s community fridges on student campuses across Montreal.)

Our office is located in the Z Annex, along with Sustainable Concordia and the Sustainability Action Fund @ 2090 Mackay (Montreal, Quebec, H3G 2J1). Please note our offices are not wheelchair accessible. We are located on the second floor of the Z-Annex up two flights of stairs. If you would like to set-up a meeting with us in a wheelchair accessible location please reach out to us at: info@concordiafoodcoalition.com The Z-Annex is equipped with two gender neutral bathrooms, and is a shared space with other student groups and the Multi-Faith Spiritual Centre.
